Block Based Coding Unlock the world of programming through an exciting and engaging course that uses Scratch, a visual, block-based coding platform. This course is perfect for beginners and young learners who are eager to dive into the world of coding without needing to write complex text-based code. Students will learn fundamental programming concepts like sequencing, loops, conditionals, and variables through fun and interactive projects. Using Scratch, they will create animated stories, interactive games, and dynamic simulations—all while developing problem-solving and logical thinking skills. By the end of the course, learners will have a solid foundation in coding principles and the confidence to continue exploring more advanced programming languages. Whether you're creating a video game, a storytelling animation, or an interactive project, Scratch empowers students to bring their ideas to life in a creative and hands-on way. Dungeons & Dragons 2 If you want to "step it up a notch" and take a two hour course revolving around the world of Dungeons & Dragons, then this is the course for you. This course is for students who have experience with Dungeons & Dragons/Completed the Dungeons & Dragons CAMU course from last year. We will blend the realms of acting and improvisation with the thrilling adventures of Dungeons & Dragons. Embark on a quest like no other as you dive into the fantastical world or role-playing, creative storytelling and honing your acting skills while battling dragons, solving mysteries, and forging alliances. Grades: 4, 5, 6 (12 students per section)

Exploration Engineers Go through a weekly exploration challenge incorporating map skills, scavenger hunts, and environmental exploration. Exploration Engineers will combine indoor and outdoor activities, learning how to read and create maps, and exploring different environments such as deep sea, space, and more! Grades 4, 5, 6 (12 students per section)

Hooked On Summer: Crochet Creations for Kids! for Camp U! Get ready to weave some summer fun! In Hooked on Summer, young crafters will dive into the world of crochet, learning basic stitches, how to read simple patterns, and creating their very own handmade treasures. From colorful coasters to cute critters, students will stitch their way through exciting projects while building fine motor skills and creativity. No experience needed—just bring your imagination and get ready to get hooked! Grades 4, 5, 6 (14 students)

Spin It, Shape It, Bake It This class is about working on the potter's wheel. We will get our hands dirty starting with the basics, and then work our way to finished glazed ceramic pieces. Get fired up to make your own hand thrown bowl! Grades 4, 5, 6 (12 students per section)

Stop, Motion, Create! Unleash your imagination and bring your favorite stories to life with the magic of stop-motion animation! In this hands-on course, students will explore the exciting world of stop-motion video creation. Through simple techniques and creative projects, students will learn how to make objects, clay figures, or drawings come to life frame by frame. Throughout the course, kids will develop storytelling skills, understand the basics of animation, and experiment with different materials like clay, paper, and everyday objects. By the end of the course, each student will create their very own stop-motion video to share with friends and family. The Great Indoors This fun and engaging course introduces students to a variety of indoor games, including table hockey, ping pong, foosball, table ball, and more. The class will focus on both casual and competitive play, fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills in a friendly and inclusive environment. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, this course offers a great way to stay active, socialize, and enjoy the excitement of indoor recreational sports.
