"Stories on the Go" combines movement, listening, and discussion as students explore audiobooks and e-books while walking in a safe, supervised environment. Every day, students will listen to an audiobook or read an e-book while building focus, imagination, and comprehension as they experience stories in a whole new way. After each walk, students will come together to reflect, discuss, and share their thoughts, favorite moments, and connections to the story they read or listened to. This session encourages a love of reading, promotes active lifestyles, and helps students develop confidence in expressing their ideas—all while enjoying great stories on the go! *Water bottles are highly recommended to be brought daily!
Hi! My name is Cassie Reynolds and I am so excited to teach CampU for the first time this year. I have been teaching for 16 years, with the last 7 years at Spring Creek Elementary in CSISD. I just recently became a certified school librarian, and will graduate with my Masters in Library Science in August. I have two kids, a 6th grader and a 3rd grader, and some of our favorite things to do together are solve puzzles and visit the public library. I love all things reading and puzzles, and am so excited to build a love of curiosity and learning this summer!
