    HEALTH - ONLINE For incoming 7th graders only Course is required for students participating in Athletics class. Health is designed to provide students with knowledge for achieving optimum health. Emphasis on making healthy life choices for mental, physical and social needs. Assignments done in classroom through Schoology and at home. Teacher available during school hours. NOTE: There are two DIFFERENT versions of this course available for registration: Health WITH the Human Sexuality content Health WITHOUT the Human Sexuality content Course runs June 3rd - June 28th. In compliance with Texas state law and as described in CSISD board policy EHAA (LEGAL), College Station ISD provides human sexuality instruction through our 7th grade Health courses. As required by law, the district must obtain written consent before a student can be provided human sexuality instruction, as well as instruction relating to the prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence, and sex trafficking. Lessons Covered for Human Sexuality Instruction through Schoology. Puberty (Adolescent Development) Conception, Pregnancy, Birth Healthy Relationships: Dating and Marriage Abstinence, Safe Sex, and Making Informed Decisions Common Sexually Transmitted Infections As a parent/guardian you have the opportunity to opt-in to the human sexuality course instruction and learning activities, including the prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence, and sex trafficking. During registration you will be asked to select whether or not your child has your permission to receive this instruction.

    TOUCH SYSTEM DATA ENTRY - ONLINE For incoming 7th graders only Focuses on keyboarding skills, technique, speed and accuracy. Students will become familiar with basic functions of a word processing program. 1/2 high school elective credit upon passing course. Assignments will be done virtually through Schoology.   • Web Communications (ONLINE)

    WEB COMMUNICATIONS - ONLINE For incoming 8th graders only This course will educate students regarding evolving platforms of social media and familiarize them with their use. It will highlight the controversial issues associated with social media, including the laws regarding social media, inappropriate usage, and online harassment. Overall, this course will educate students in maintaining a responsible online digital footprint. Activities in this course include the analysis and application of various forms of social media platforms, a study of laws concerning online aggression and safety, and the use of learned technology that will further engage students in academics. 1/2 high school elective credit upon passing course. Teacher available during school hours. Students with 3 unexcused absences will be dropped from the course. Course runs June 3rd - June 28th.
